Mr. Marshall has twenty years of Africa business experience and over fifteen years of international investment banking experience. He commenced his investment banking career at the mergers and acquisitions firm Wasserstein Perella.
In 1995 he became a founder of Musa Capital Advisors, a merchant banking firm with a focus on African markets. He established with Musa a pledge fund sponsored by HRH Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi Arabia which made successful investments in high growth, undervalued African assets.
Musa partnered with Alliance Capital to develop a private equity fund for Africa. The partnership eventually won the mandate from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation for the Africa Millennium Fund.
Mr. Marshall holds an MBA in finance and international business from Columbia University, and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Boston University.
